Somebody I know in Arizona saw this outside his office window today. Looks like a real winner of a parent/guardian/boyfriend/etc.

Child seat for bicycle-$20
Avoiding killing your child- priceless.

Or a possible bike theft/child abduction... and he's phoning his buddies to bring the getaway car.

Shit, is he on the phone, too?

It's not ideal but I don't see a huge issue here.

To me, it looks like big brother scooped up little brother on his bike. Possibly calling mom?
Just trying to be positive on a Friday.

You know, I'd argue that you're somewhat right. You can get into all sorts of shit about helicopter parenting, how everybody is too careful these days, and how we'd be better off without all that nonsense. Folks say that before warning labels, safety devices, and everybody screaming at you about how unsafe you're being, stupid people died because they were stupid.
This is, a lot of times innocent (and some stupid) people still die because of stupid people (see street racing story on FP). That child doesn't deserve to be punished for his father's (or whatever's) stupidity.

What I think is great about this is not only is dad in the safest seat with access to the handlebars, he's the only one wearing a helmet. Wonder what the others think when they see him put on his helmet. Okay, I'm stuck on him and his helmet.

Kinduv agree but riding a shitty bmx is difficult work. It seems like he is working hard to get his kid where it needs to be, is it better to ride him over there than walk in the hot sun? I don't know? It seems like a thing where he wears baby on his back would be better.

Are you kidding? NO HELMETS. And the kid is dangling off the side

No, I'm not kidding.

This may sound bad but, at least he is with his child, and not a run away dad.

We should be commending that person for saving the child from carbon emissions which is the biggest threat to the world.
